Jerry Amspacher

April 11, 1951 - March 1, 2021

Jerry Donnell Amspacher died March 1, 2021, at age 69. Jerry was born in Norman April 11, 1951, to Byron and Madge Amspacher. He graduated from Norman High School and attended Oklahoma University. While at OU, Jerry was president of the RUF/NEKS in year when OU beat Texas, allowing Jerry to perform the celebratory haircut. In his early years, Jerry worked in Marshall, Texas as a radio personality known as “Jerry America”. He then moved to California to work with his brother Bruce, a co-founder of the Professional Coin Grading Service. He then returned to Norman where he worked as a radio engineer until retiring with a medical disability. Jerry is survived by his sisters, Judy Feaver (Doug) of Alexandria, VA, and Jill Kinslow (Charles) of Dunkirk, MD; nephew, Christopher Feaver; and nieces, Bailey Varness and Jessica Condi. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and nephew, Steven Feaver. A private memorial service is planned. For those wishing to make a memorial donation, the family suggests designating the music program of First Christian Church of Norman.
